Since the March of 2020 every individual has faced different types of issues in their lifestyle. Some lost their job, some closed their business as they could not bear the expenses of providing salary to their workers, some lost their loved ones and much more. The Higher class of the society can easily survive such a time without working or maybe taking a break from their work as a precaution to stay safe. The Middle class of the society faces issues as their source of income is less compared to the higher class but they can still manage by compromising with some demands of their lives. They would have a fixed deposit or some kind of saving which could help them stay stable in such harsh times, still it would be a bit difficult for them. Now comes the lower class of the society, do they have jobs with a satisfactory pay – No, do they have some financial backup that they could use in such time – they might have but won’t be sufficient enough to survive more than 1-2 months. So any how they would have to come back to their workplace or might have to find something else to work with and earn a living.
Now they have comeback, some have started working at a different workplace, some started selling fruits &vegetables and some opened up their stalls of variety of street foods. Meanwhile in the background the cases are increasing at a very fast rate in the country. Now some people start buying the food they sell. These people who buy food from them are indirectly contributing in their survival. Yes it’s a very risky situation we are going through but if these people don’t buy food from those poor people who have anyhow managed to start a profession with the last left savings they have then how could have these people survived in such a chaotic and unstable time.
And yes when we see such people eating out or buying street food we do feel that such kind of people contribute in the increasing number of cases of the country and that people don’t care or they don’t know the sensitivity of the ongoing situation. They might have reasons of eating out but the fact is they are indirectly helping a section of the lower class society to survive.
Now some would say why the poor have to open street food stalls can’t they just sell fruits and vegetables or work somewhere to survive. This would do them no good as it would increase the competition within their the work type which would decrease the earnings and might decrease their survival rate too
My point is not to show that we should eat street food and stuff. I just wanted to explain that if people with the same mentality would be in this world then how would the world progress or move in a forward direction. People with different mentalities are making this world move.
