A Theory of Apocalypse (2020)

2020 was an unstable year for all of us. Starting from the month of March the uncertainty of this year could be visualized very clearly. As of now, 2020 is approaching its end and people have started to resume to their normal lives. The fear of the pandemic has reduced in the minds of the people now as compared to the starting phase of the pandemic.
But what if this was not the reality
Let’s say the pace of the disease getting spread was 10 times faster than the pace with which it spread in real time and the ratio of getting cured to that of dying is 50:50. The number of infected individuals would have increased along with the number of deaths.
On one hand a majority of the people have lost their job and are now running on their savings and on the other hand Hospital’s bed capacity is getting full , emergency services are down as they are running low on staff. The Doctors and the nurses also getting infected with the virus and dying along side of the patients; because of this the price of the treatment in hospitals has risen and a large strata of the population is not be able to afford the medical treatment required.
Seeing such chaos via news channels a sense of uncertainty and fear will get initiated and spread like a wild fire across the globe. People will try to stock up their food, water, medicines and other essential resources as much as possible. But everyone will not be able to stock up much of resources due to the low availability and high prices of each and every item.
Sooner or later people will try to rob people with resources for their own survival and in a fraction of time this will turn into massacre. Now each individual will own a weapon for their safety as well as their survival. This scenario happening globally might lead to the collapsing of a few nations. The world will face blackouts as the power grids will be shut down. Without electricity communication will collapse and the few ongoing medical treatments will come to a pause. The doctors will also deny operating in such chaotic and infectious conditions as they themselves would care about their survival now. This Situation might push mankind back by at least 6-7 decades. The population will reduce by a high percentage globally and the few who survive this chaos will establish their own territories.
The people living in villages/countryside might not suffer as bad as the people living cities and will have a better chance of survival as they very well know how to survive with least of the resources.
There might be some loopholes in my theory as I have only considered the negative outcomes that can happen.
